Therapy is an important investment in your child, yourself, your family, and your relationships.

Fees & Hours: The fee for a 50-minute session is $115.00. This is the same for children, adolescents, adults, families, and consultations of any kind. This rate is also the same for first and subsequent sessions. Regular business hours are between 9am and 6pm. To maintain a healthy work-life balance, evening hours are limited. Please be aware of the high demand and longer waitlist times for sessions after 3pm.

Out-of-Network Documentation: This office is an out-of-network provider with insurance. Upon request at the end of each session, clients can be provided with information needed to submit out-of-network claims with insurance for reimbursement.

Note from the Founder: After significant consideration, the hard decision was made to remain an out-of-network, self-pay clinic. Here’s why… As I continued to pursue more certifications and training to provide very specialized care, I became more aware of the complications of working as an in-network provider. Specialization in multiple, converging areas means that I require the freedom to pull from several treatment modalities to provide high-quality and comprehensive care. If I were to choose to be an in-network provider with insurance companies, I would then be restricted in the treatment options and types of sessions that I could provide.

Ultimately, my decision to remain out-of-network came down to integrity, principles, and honoring my clients’ right to privacy.

Insurance & the “Medical Model”: Insurance companies function using a medical model; they require a diagnosis, which establishes that you have “a medical necessity” or “clinical requirement for treatment” to seek services. Providers that are in-network are paid to provide medical services for your “medical necessity”. Oftentimes, insurance companies don’t consider the things that we are working on to be medically necessary or debilitating enough to reimburse. Here’s where the ethics issues come into play: If I were to assign a diagnosis that I know doesn’t quite fit but would get reimbursed, I’d essentially be committing insurance fraud. There may be providers who are willing to take that risk, but in my opinion, the penalties and professional consequences of insurance fraud are significant and unacceptable.

Furthermore, any diagnosis that I assign becomes a part of your medical record. Though it may not seem like much of a concern now it can become problematic in the future if you wanted to apply for life insurance, own or frequently handle firearms, work in a financial planning career, obtain security clearance for work or travel, or seek employment in any sector in which your decision-making might be called into question due to your emotional state.

It is important to me that my clients have the freedom to make their mental health a priority without stigma or fear. This is why this clinic simply must remain out-of-network.
